There are so many dynamics in this picture from the girls to the ladies on the porch, the house. I love it.!
They look like a fun group!
(Although I wonder how they managed to keep those long white skirts clean in the days before washing machines and Oxy-Clean...)
Thanks for your comments! I think it's a pretty great picture, too. I *think* my grandmother is in the line-up somewhere, possibly 4th from the back.
Kerry, that's an excellent question. I imagine there was a lot of scrubbing on washboards, something my back could never handle today! Or maybe those dresses were their "Sunday Best," reserved only for special occasions and photographs?
