I don't know how it happened.
My little girl has turned into at GIRLY girl. You know the type: loves clothes, shoes, jewelry, looking at herself in the mirror.
I can't imagine where she learned this from.
It all started innocently enough. We were walking through Costco one day, and she grabbed a dress that I was looking at for her out of my hands. Everytime I tried to take the dress away, she screamed.
So I bought it.
Then she started wearing her Linkadoos on her wrist like bracelets. It was very cute.
So I gave her some old bracelets to play with.
Next, we started noticing that she had an affinity for bags. She would drag the laundry basket across the house. Or the camera bag. Or my purse. Nothing with a handle was safe.
So I bought her a purse. And some bows for her hair, just for good measure.
Lately, she's started imitating me "putting on make-up." Actually, I almost never wear make-up just to hang out around the house. But she's watched me put on moisturizer. She pats her face like she's putting on her own moisturizer.
I'm not buying any make-up for her, don't worry. Not yet, anyway.
Husband just shakes his head and sighs.
He blames me, of course.
